About YOKOHAMA |
|
Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan with every urban function. Although it is located in the close vicinity of Tokyo (accessible within 30 min), Yokohama has a very different taste from its gigantic neighbor. This city is well known as a tourist mecca with a number of lovely spots such as a scenic harbor, spectacular night view, world famous Chinatown, fashionable Motomachi Shopping Street, etc. Yokohama is also a historical place. It is the first harbor city introduced to the world as the entrance to Japan. Many of new cultures and information from foreign countries have been introduced to Japan through Yokohama. Historical architectures are well preserved throughout the downtown. The proximity of those interesting spots within walking distance being mixed with its international atmosphere makes Yokohama an exotic, cultural and attractive place not only for tourists but also for local citizens. |
